Nimmo-Bell Personnel
Brian A Bell, M.Ag.Sci (Hons),Ph.D, Shareholder Director,
is a natural resource economist and financial
analyst. He has more than 35 years experience in economic
analysis, research, promotion and policy development. His
current interests are centered on the interface between economics
and the environment, extending cost benefit analysis to quantify
environmental and social values using stated preference tools
such as choice modelling. Key areas of analysis include estimating
dollar values for indigenous biodiversity and assessing the
trade-offs between income and environmental outcomes for intensive
pastoral systems.
He has parallel interests in development economics
and governance, particularly related to small fragile states
in the Pacific. Brian has been associated with the Tuvalu
Trust Fund since it was set up in 1987, firstly as an advisor
and more recently as a director of the fund and chairman of
its Investment Committee. |

Mike Yap, B.Sc. (Management Engineering), MBA, Shareholder,
specialises in industry and economic research,
strategic and financial analysis, business planning, and project
management. His experience involves analyst, consultancy and
management roles in agri-business, forestry, nutraceuticals,
commercial/investment banking, high technology security and
safety systems, health, property, and special economic zones.
In addition, Michael also provides the Asian perspective and
develops business and investment opportunities between Southeast
Asia and New Zealand. |

Nick Giera, B.Com Ag., M. Com Ag. (Hons), Shareholder
Director,
Nick specialises in financial and economic
analysis, industry research and international rural development.
Nick’s ten years of consultancy experience includes
a number of international rural development assignments undertaking
business development, value chain analysis and agricultural
policy advice in Australia, the Pacific, Central Asia, East
Asia and Russia.
In his time at Nimmo-Bell Nick a number of years analysing the costs and benefits of agricultural research projects and his work became increasingly involved in the interface between agriculture and the management of natural resources. This more recent research focus has been on issues around improving the environmental sustainability of the primary sector. Nick is based in Mid-Canterbury and currently has limited role as a consultant for Nimmo-Bell as he is pursuing farming interests in the dairy industry. |

| Trish Hanson, Company Accountant,
Trish has responsibility for the company accounting
functions within Nimmo-Bell including the financial management
of companies managed by Nimmo-Bell. Trish arrived in New Zealand
20 years ago with a background financial management in international
banking.
Trish has held a range of positions in New Zealand
including that of financial controller in companies involved
in manufacturing and merchandising. |
